Before we tell you a little
about our company, let us first begin with some fun facts and
fundamentals that everyone should know when considering an Electric
Vehicle for an option as their ride.
Many people believe that EVs (Electric Vehicles) are a new concept
that has taken the market by storm in recent years. Actually, the
first EV was built back in 1834 by Thomas Davenport! Hard to
believe, right? Well, it's true! In fact, in 1899 the first American
car race was won by an EV and in that same year a world speed record
was set for 68 mph by an EV as well. Guess who the first speeding
ticket went to in the city of Chicago in 1903? You guessed it! It
was awarded to the driver of an Electric Vehicle.
The point is, people have somehow come to synonymously associate an
Electric Vehicle with ideas like "low speed" "short driving range"
and even "boring." On the contrary, high speeds are certainly
attainable, as you read above (we're talking highway speeds here!),
and in some cases, a range of almost 250 miles is achievable without
re-charging.
On top of all that, an EV is almost twice as efficient as any gas
guzzling car. Not only will an EV be considerably less harmful to
the environment, but it will also be considerably less harmful to
your bank account. According to The Electric Vehicle Association of
Greater Washington DC, an EV typically costs around TWO CENTS per
mile OR LESS!! How many people can say that about their internal
combustion engine vehicles? Absolutely none!
Now, as far as our company is concerned, Virginia EV is a
family-based enterprise located in central VA. Our goal is to bring
the Electric Vehicle trend to our commonwealth, one car at a time.
What we basically do is turn your old gas-guzzler into a quiet,
low-cost, environmentally-friendly, emission-free vehicle that runs
